| Anniversary poses tough travel questions
Denver. Kansas City. Chicago. Las Vegas. Minneapolis. Thad and I have been together as a couple more than half of our natural lives 18 years - and we can count on one hand the out-of-state destinations to which weve traveled. I wish we were world travelers, but we just arent. Some people find fulfillment in traveling to far-off places, but we love being at home. Thats why Ive dragged my feet a bit when it comes to planning a 10 year anniversary trip a year late. We had originally planned to fly west to San Francisco or east to New York to celebrate a decade of wedded bliss, but parenthood took precedence. Brenner was just 3-and-a-half-months-old when we celebrated our 10th anniversary last September. At the time, we both agreed that a trip to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater and the Albertville Outlet Malls in Minnesota was about as far away as we wanted to be from our kids.
Bitter chocolate: Regulators probe price-fixing claims
NEWARK If you feel your Valentine's Day chocolates are not such a sweet deal this year, you're not alone. Regulators are investigating price fixing among candy makers in at least three different countries. In the last week, the German Federal Cartel Office raided the offices of seven of leading chocolate companies including Mars Inc., Kraft Foods Inc. and Nestle SA searching for documents. Three months ago, Canada's Competition Bureau searched the offices of several companies, many of the same ones as in Germany. The Canadian investigation sparked several American lawsuits accusing the world's biggest chocolate companies of violating antitrust laws. The U.S. Department of Justice declined to confirm it is investigating, yet several companies confirmed receiving inquiries.
Bulls hope Gordon can help end Kings' reign
You can forget those rumors about the Bulls going after Pau Gasol before the trading deadline after the Los Angeles Lakers acquired Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton and two first-round draft picks. So for now, the Bulls will go forward with their current roster on the heels of some schedule changes. Interim coach Jim Boylan chose not to bring the team home after the 83-67 loss at Minnesota on Wednesday. He also canceled the Bulls' scheduled Thursday practice in Minnesota, from where the Bulls flew to Sacramento for a game tonight against the Kings. .
Extra! UIdaho Student Found Shot to Death
I have since purchased the first three seasons, having watched the first two seasons in less than two weeks time. I am half way through the 3rd season and not looking back. My question for the forum: do you watch this show? Do you find it as thrilling, exciting and thought provoking as I do? Jack Bauer for president '08? I really need to know if I am alone with this as my sleep pattern has been significantly altered since becoming a "24 freak"?! Also, I figured this show may be popular with the HBO crowd so advice from you regulars is much appreciated! JimmyMAC .
